  1. Word of the Day Presentations-first 5 mins of each class, done by student
  2. Reading skills: inference skills for implied main ideas, author's tone & purpose, theme
  3. More Vocabulary de-coding:  Con't Structure & Context skills; Academic Word List (AWL); Synonyms
  4. Writing:  Con't Summary practice; using Quotes: writing to include implications/drawing conclusions
  5. Essay #1:  Brave and Daring Person---who?  How are they Daring?  Prove it!
